Belfast City Airport / Les Jones 5 miler

The Belfast city airport 5 miler replaced the Les Jones 10k on the racing calendar with the Mary Peters track being out of operation. Freedie Sittuk from Kenya won in 25.48, the first OAC home was Andrew Acheson in 30.58, followed by Michael Thompson and Mark McFeeters.  First home for the ladies was Vic McFeeters in 39.21, followed by Jacqui Maxwell, Joy McAleer and Tania Rothwell.  Jacqui won the F50 class, Joy took second and Tania posted a seasons best.

Michael Thompson, Andrew Acheson, Rachel McKenzie, Laura Thomson all posted a PB's, well done all.  188 runners, parkrun keeps going from strength to strength.

World Half IronMan

Congratulations to Trudy for qualifying for the World Half Ironman champs.

BCM : PB's AGAIN! and a New Club record (Womens Marathon)

Fantastic running by all OAC's - 4 relay teams - the mixed relay took second place, 6 athletes competing in the marathon - Leann Gibson, Chistopher Jenkins, Colin Fulton, Ralph Coetzee, Darren Moan, Rodney McKinstry - all PB'ed and Leann set a new club record.

OrangeGrove 24hr Team - World Record Holders!  

Orangegrove AC 4 person relay team covered 171 miles in Belfast's 24 hour race at Mary Peters Track 2011.
